The will of the people, on war and human rights, placed in conflict.

War is, perhaps, the most vile and horrific of all the elements that encompass the human condition. The state of being "at war", by most any current definition, violates the natural rights on one, both or all of the peoples that are the citizens of each of the "sides". If war were fought only by voluntary combatants there would be only the violation of the expenditure of resources against those that would not want war. War fought by the existing rules of engagement is a war crime or crimes against humanity. Draft, conscription and compulsory service are crimes. Requiring the people that would deny war to pay for war is a crime. Bombing that results in "collateral damage" is a crime. The use of the national resources are crimes against pacifist that work to enable the war effort even if only thru taxation. Bombing the infrastructure of the "enemy's country" is a crime against the population. War is a crime against humanity when unexploded ordinance kills a noncombatant, sometimes a child. War is the use of toxic compounds, nuclear weaponry and biological warfare, each in itself a crime against ALL humanity. Economic sanctions kill the people that make up the most marginalized of that countries citizens. Can you, in good faith, condone war when these are the reality's of war? I can't and will not allow war to become the normal state of affairs. Will you?
